A few years ago, I tried a similar program (also advertised via informercial) This program was 5-6 weeks long and there were different recordings to listen to each week.
While certain themes rang true (relaxation, deliberate eating and focusing on a goal), there are some key differences:
a) No music during the TNL sessions. It’s all Don.
b) While it’s OK to fall asleep at the end, you are specifically instructed not to fall asleep during the session.
c) Don’s use of pitch and tone to vary the message along with the clapping noise.
d) Within the message itself, Don gives some very specific direction about eating half and leaving half and eating slowly and deliberately. From what I remember of the other program, there was a lot of talk about dealing with feelings.
e) Most importantly, though, for me, is that I come away from the Think and Lose sessions feeling very positive and encouraged. Right now, I’m dealing with some major stressors in my life but it’s not getting me down and I do credit the positive tone of Don’s sessions with keeping me from being completely depressed.
I’m not exactly sure what was in the other recordings but there were a couple of weeks where I spent my time in a serious funk. I had a bad attitude and was in an awful mood. It was very odd. At first I didn’t link it to the program until I repeated it and had the same experience during the same weeks.

Have you lost weight? Do you recommend using this program?

Welcome to my blog, Monica. I hope you have taken some time to read the rest of it and you should have the answers to your questions.
a) I’ve been using it for about 2.5 weeks. As of last Monday, I’m down a little over 4 lbs.
b) I can’t really recommend one way or the other because it is too soon to say. Check back in to follow my progress.
