Yes, I’m still here. 

I must confess I haven’t listened to my recordings much in the past month.  I’m a part-time student and, since school started, I just haven’t been making the time to listen. 

I am working on my attitude about my weight and all that is associated with that.  Part of the reason that I struggle with dieting is that, mostly, I think I look fine.  My bloodwork says I’m healthy.  I’m strong.  I run and lift weights.  I’m just stuck carrying around quite a bit of extra weight.  (Really, I am.  And no, I don’t have a thyroid problem.)   

I was hoping these recordings would help me shift my attitude about eating and, to a point, they have.  When I focus on what I am doing, I am eating less and I am definitely snacking less, but apparently, I am still eating more than I need. 

So, today, I’m back to the recordings and I’m also doing some journalling about where I want to be.  I’m focusing on being that person who weighs 30-40 lbs less than I do today.  For my health and well-being, it’s where I need to be.
